Updates that happened since the last post

Hey Everyone :)

Lots has happened since the past blog post and here is what has happened: (in no order)

  1. Accreditation meeting for the SSE- that happened yesterday and it was really cool as all of the lecturers that I spoke to was suited up and the BCS (the guys who accredit the course that I do) were really nice to talk :)
  2. Open days- I've done 2 open days, and I realized that I like representing the University to future applicants.
  3. Receiving a new baby- this part was bittersweet; i lost my iTouch, and Boo in an act of love and sacrifice, gave me her old iPhone (reward at marriage x)). This time, i made sure that i set up security on it, as well as customizing and adding new apps.
  4. the Cybernetic Challenge- it has been going good :) We had challenges, but overall it is going well. :) Photos coming soon :) Our video presentation last week was very well and we got 80% overall, so I am happy :)
  5. Exam timetable- Now that i found out what that is, i can plan the revision period accordingly. :) I cant wait for Easter break. Time to recharge! :)
  6. Japanese Society Committee- has now been selected for next year! Although for me it has been good, I want a break from all of this :) Been doing stuff like this for a while now :)
  7. C# Speech Recognition- Thanks to AJ ( an awesome PHD student) I want to start learning speech recognition. This may not be for my final year project, but it will good for me to do for learning C#! (Posts on that is suspended atm, since it is basic stuff at the moment)
And that is all for now I think :) Just enjoying University :)

New Language being learned :D

Programming that is :)
I am now learning C#, and i thought it would be good as i would like to use it to make games in future, as well as to keep my programming skills up to date :)

I am looking forward to this, and I'll post what i have been getting up to when I do it :)

Lesson 1 is like all Programming Languages: Hello World :P
Rather than skip, I will go through the basics; its always good to go through them ey? :)

This one is about...

Motivation.

After going to the gym, I realized that I am going and I don't have a 100% clue as to what my goals are, because I didn't put them down on paper. I also realize that when things start to frustrate me, I have a tendency to give up.

I won't make any qualms about it; I didn't finish the exercise that I was supposed to do today. And I felt like the biggest wuss at the moment in time.

Fortunately, I spoke to Boo, and she gave me some good encouragement. As always she is my strength when I need it. NB: By that term, I don't want people to think I mean she is above God; but i mean that God uses her to strengthen me. But she is simply amazing :) and she has no idea what she means to me :) But she will find out when we are married ;) Hehehe.. (ahem, moving on though..)
Enter Sigh of Adoration... Sigggghhhhh :')

So, now I am at uni still, and going to go home soon. But first, I wanted to cement something in my mind that which is that I need to set down what goals I want to achieve for my body for this year, because saying I want a stronger, bigger body is about as vague as it gets. I Need more to motivate myself, and more to keep me going. Because as i have seen, my motivation is what sucks hard, like a goose egg.

So my goals to myself for my body this year, and which I have to dedicate to God personally are, and by His power, to keep on it are as follows: (These are realistic at the moment in writing)

  1. To accomplish 30 minutes of cardio everyday, through one means or another.
  2. To achieve 17" arms ( I don't know why, but 17 is the number that first came into my head)
  3. To achieve that 6 pack status before my 23rd birthday and keep it there.
  4. To be able to do 20 pullups consecutively and 20 pushups as well.
  5. To have nutrition that backs up the goals set above aka a strict healthier diet, which means allegiance to health principles (no eating in between meals, balanced meals, and not to eat any later than 9 pm)
  6. To be able to motivate at least 1 person to start building their body.
And that is it. I will put pictures of how things are progressing, but because I know Boo reads this as well, somehow I will have to get around that (as she is the one who when married gets to see all of i intend to do, so i can't show her early ;) )

But the key point of this was that I needed to see my goals in front of me, and chose a workout that works for ME. And stick to it. Shoot, if I have to, I will get a picture of a bodybuilder to remember that if they can do it, I CAN TOO.
