I thought about doing this earlier today, and I am glad that I am doing it now!
First things first! I got a placement now for next year! After all the praying and trusting and believing that God would open the door that I needed to go through, I have it! And all I can say is thank you Jesus! :D
Also, it has been very exciting for me, as two of my good friends have gotten engaged! :) People are also asking me when is my wedding, and that makes smile, as people want me to be happy and i know that i need to take the steps that are needed to make sure that I do my best! And this placement is one step in that direction.
I am just so glad because things are starting to come into place, and i can only say thanks to God for this, because i just can!
Working out is also going well! After working out with Boo on Sunday, i have been more encouraged and more motivated (for reasons that i can explain but one of them have to do with the privileges of what married people do ;)) I am looking forward to doing my best and achieving the best i can before i get married! Its a journey and an adventure!
I am also looking for people to live in this house as well with me and Zaid; it is hard going, but God will provide a way for sure.
In other news, I am currently teaming up with a friend of mine named Ollie, in a series of labs that we have to perform, in learning, controlling, and programming a MicroController for one of our modules. What is a MicroController you say?
It is basically this:
A MicroController is a embedded system- | small single‐chip computer that contains everything (processor, memory, communications, | etc) |
We program the MC through a device called a I2C (supposed to be squared but oh well), and the display is below:
And after some programming, we got our names to display (was pretty cool!)
And also today as i was looking for a lecturer, i saw this and had to take a picture of it: Warning it is MATH-RELATED, for you Arithmophobics (yes that word is real, and it means fear of math :p ) NB: not trying to be offensive in anyway. :)
So yea, it has been pretty good! I have missed some things out, but thats ok. I can recap those another time (if i remember that is).
It has its own IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) to modify and control the stuff on the board. |
And before this, last Thursday the Japanese Society had a treasure hunt night as well as book exchange. Not many people turned up, but that was ok, as the hunt was fun and we had fun! We also had exotic foods from Japan brought by a Native Japanese person! Here are the pictures below (sorry no pictures of the food itself though :( )
